Is there a trick to removing the fairing at the top of the tank where the rubber lever thingy is? I have refered to the manual but it seems to take a lot of graunching (is that a real word?) and Im scared of damaging the fairing panel. Apols if this seems a bloody stupid question but Im really good at asking them.
Cheers

THE FASTER SILVER AND WHITE VERSION !
Have you got all of the screws out?
When you reassemble, use a little silicon grease or petroleum jelly to help them slide together.
- Two at the back under the seat;
Three around the indicator pod;
One in front of the oil cooler;
One from the inside behind the BMW badge?

(expanding a bit too much for the old leathers it has to be said)

Anyway, what Chris said re spraying the rubber 'bung' with something like GT85* or WD40. Give it a good pull and it should pop out.
