TPS issue update

Dunno if u guys remember my issue with the S where it was doing strange things at certain revs.
Well 3 tps's and 2 computers later (no i didnt pay for them they were used for troubleshooting), the problem persisted always registering a tps fault.

The pc3 piggy-backs on top of the existing Motronic, adding and taking away fuel as neccessary and retaining the closed loop part of the fuelling. Motronic controls the fuel injection (timing and duration) taking into consideration the various sensors that feedback to it. The Motronic is a very ...

Hmmm....
So what does the motronic do if the pc111 does all the fueling?
I've read the installation for the pc111 and the tps for instance is wired into that instead of the ecu.
same for the oxygen sensor.

This what I don't understand.

Really stupid question re power commander

Hi folks.
Just a quick stupid question.
Does the installation of the power commander take over the function of the motronic?
Is the motronic then just a passenger that just sits there?
Does the power commander read faults?
Thanks in advance.
I'm considering installing a power commander considering ...

Thanks for that explanation.
Apparently though the first generation motronic don't require the full throtle twist after a computer reset according to the technician.
The bike is running very well though.

Adaptive memory what is it?

Hi again guys.
As I have posted My bike was playing funny buggers and they found fault in the TPS.
When they changed the TPS to a new one they purged the fault codes but they didn't purge the "adaptive memory" so the bike with the new TPS was still exhibiting the same problems.
After taking it back ...

Interesting thing i learned today.
the new TPS isn't faulty, the old one was.
After the mechanic checked the bike's electricals and all the fuel system he disconnected the battery to purge the ecu of "adjust memory"
His reasoning was that even though they purged the error codes the computer still ...

Well the symptoms have returned and my mechanic has the bike with him

He's gonna try my old tps and test them and another one that has been tried and tested independent of the bike
He also is gonna check the leads and temperature and oxygen sensors as well as the ...

Problem solved.
It was the throttle position sensor.
As soon as I took it to my service bloke he plugged the computer in, ran the diagnostic and voila! TPS failure.
Changed and all is good.
Thanks for the advice folks.

Sensors failing and their symptoms

Hi there
I tried the search function but couldn't really find anything satisfactory so I'm gonna ask a collective question.
We could make this a sticky :)

Ok
I know of 3 sensors on the bike which relate to the smooth running of the bike's engine management system
Hall sensor (no idea what that ...
