Dunno if u guys remember my issue with the S where it was doing strange things at certain revs.
Well 3 tps's and 2 computers later (no i didnt pay for them they were used for troubleshooting), the problem persisted always registering a tps fault.
Latest uppdate is the mechanic has bypassed the wiring loom for the tps and joined it straight to the computer.
Problem has disappeared for the moment.
I have to ride it for 2 weeks and take it back and if the problem doesn't reappear then we go to the next step.
Now here's the fun part.
The tps wiring disappears into the main wiring loom and as a result would be very difficult to locate and replace without pulling the wiring loom apart.
The mechanic says we can do 2 things.
Replace the main wiring loom completley which is a very expensive exercise because the loom alone costs $au800 or make the bypass a permament bypass which will not look pretty but will do the job however there is no guarantee it can be weathersealed 100%
It appaears that there was a faulty wire somewhere in the loom and after 8 years it has finally surfaced to cause problems.
Anyways I'll keep u updated.
