I have had a great idea ! 8)
I might bolt a set of roller bearings on the 'head covers, they'll lower the friciton, am I right ?

What about this cylindr cover ?

Yes you're right,

I met an Ohlins engineer today, he said my rear unit is ball of s..t, and the front is also totaly out of order, anyway he gave me his congratulations for the great scraps on the 'head covers and footpegs !

hi Lloyd,

I saw a set of carbon fibre valve covers with alloy pads, they're made by Touratech, I think that they could be of assistance together with a longer rear suspension unit.
My bike has 35000 Kilometers, and the rear unit shows a little of wear, I'd like to fit a set of WP shock absorbers ...

Hi Boxerpan,

Which unit is the 04 BCR ? I need also to substitute the old Showa rear unit and this could be the chance to get two improvements at the price of noe only..

I have just fitted a Wunderlich kit with high handlebar, 8) the handling is so great and the bike is so well balanced now, that both the foot pegs and the cylindr head covers are in a sorry state after only two days of hard cornering.

It was a road legal bike, than the owner just decide to mask it as a track toy, I'll post soon pictures of our 'S'.

Hello Chris,

My father also has a set of Beringer 6 pot calipers is his R1100S, and I have purchase a Wunderlich high handlebar kit from a guy in UK, I should receive it in a few days.
Regarding to the Quat-d exhaust headers they will go to the following titanium mufflers:

My Remus system is the one with the big pot under the Paralever, as far as I know It's the first exhaust system that appeared in the market.
Moreover dynos are not very common machinw where I live.

i have however ordered one front full carbon mudguard for my father (my 2000) R1100S, so I 'll take his orginal BMW mudguard and he'll fit the pack part full carbon.
There're a lot of german bikes and people here in Italy, now !
Just a question: which is the price for a set of 6 pot ...

Hello Paul,

It could work, and I have a set of Nissin calipers from my old Triumph Speed Triple, they could fit the fork but I don't want to make adapters. :wink:
Why ?
Because at our local Mot in Italy, a bike we'll never pass its examinations with calipers and plates.....

I have just visited the Spiegler Web site, and It lseems they've a 8 piston caliper kit for more or less € 1000, at the same price italian Discacciati frim sells a set of 6 piston calipers.
In my own opinion I prefere a ready to bolt on kit without fixing ...
