I'm about the same - with Auntie Carol and get free breakdown recovery including European thrown in.

Bennets just don't do it for me. Last year they made a mistake on my details and when I corrected them, they charged me £21 for the honour of putting their mistake right.

Likely need all the money for sponsorship.

Ebikeinsurance usually come in quite a bit cheaper, but if you need european breakdown cover, then auntie carole is the best bet. The thing to do is get an ebike quote, then get auntie to get as close as possible to it!
I have saved £ 40-50 using this method for the last 2 years!

I tried ebikeinsurance... they gave me £106, so if you add 49.99 for the European cover...i.e. £156.... this is quite favourable

thanks for the tips boys

Just to make you all feel better: Take the cheapest quote above, move the decimal point one place to the right, scirbble out 'Fully Comp' and write 'Third Party Only' using green crayon,.. and you have my Insurance Policy. Age 44 (cough), Country Postcode, 60% NCD, £500 Excess,.... but sadly,.. a Courier.

When I added my "S" to my existing "RS" ebike policy I thought it would hike it up.
I was genuinely impressed when the calculated premium increase was £00.00.
I already have a KTM on there too, so for all three I'm paying £158 tpf&t.

That's exactly the same as I used to pay at age 17 for a DR400s back in 1981 ! That was 3 weeks wages back then.

I believe that ebike insurance does not cover you to ride a mate's bike. Fine if you're car insurance covers you - but otherwise could be a problem for some folk.

That's right, but my missus had no probs adding me as named rider to her ebike f650 and virago (why the hell...?) policy cos I was already with them.
I reckon it's a bit of a sales pitch to get your mates on to ebike, but it was convenient for us, so we played the game.
