Arai / Hein Gericke

I'm not going to repeat myself entirely so have a look at this Arai post.

Basically Hein Gericke sorted out a meeting with the Arai main for a personal fitting for my lid, he came all the way down from Scotland to do it and the shop let us use their space and provided us with coffee/tea whilst we were there.

Obviously if the lid fits, wear it (as it were) though if it doesn't you may be better finding one that does. However, if you are somewhere near, they (Arai) will try and accommodate you as best as possible, not just in the name of selling you their product, but in having you happy with the product - one which will do the job as intended.

Forget Phoenix - get the best deal on the helmet, maybe Phoenix will charge less in the future

Or....get a better helmet - The Shoei X-Spirit
