Heated Grips install

I have the OEM BMW heated grips kit to install on my 04 R1100SBR (USA model). Wondering if anyone has done this and what tricks are involved - the switch looks pretty straightforward (replace and plug in to harness) but I am wondering about the power source for the grips themselves, and the routing for the wires.

The additional bracket and housings that were included are also a mystery.

Dang, I meant to have done the same last year but never got around to it.
Sorry I can't help, except to say that it can't be too tricky. Grab a mate to help. 2 heads and all that!
Make sure you put a fuse on the supply line!
