Cooler but windy! & Who dat on the A40?

Post by jivebiker »

Having roasted on my journey to work on Wednesday (I wont ride without bike jacket and gloves), I thought I'd try the S without a screen for Thursday. The result...

Well as long as I kept the speed down (max about 80mph) it was quite good. The wind over my jacket stopped the heat building up too much, and I had a lovely draught around my neck and inside my lid. The downside was the number of bugs splattered over my visor - about 10 times as many as usual, after 25 miles I could hardly see out.

Anyway, I can recommend this as a means of keeping a little cooler, as long as the journey isnt too long or fast.

On my way home I saw a very nice Mandarin S as I joined the A40 at White City, which left (after a nod) at the next junction (Old Oak Road). If that was anyone on here then hello.

that was me, having roasted earlier in my Roadcrafter suit i was also enjoying the 11pm breeze. I wondering about the lack of screen, gave it a bizarre half faired cruiser look.

I saw you come up behind at me WC, nice to be on nodding aquaintances
