What's the latest here Chris and Lloyd.
Have you guys hit the dyno yet?
Are these units readiliy available yet?
My poor S got blown into the weeds off the lights today by a VFR. Now I know from riding with Gromit when he was VFR enabled that they don't hang around, however for the first time in a while I thought that maybe it's time for a small technology upgrade or perhaps something more drastic like a complete bike refresh
Gus binned his S last year,so B'Ham social services bought him another!!,in a round about way!! ,2001 Y reg,14,000 miles,Y piece, hugger, maybe done one winter, etc!!! for 2 grand!!!! he turned it down!!!!
So i flogged it for 3 grand instead!!!,but i've ridden it a couple of times before it went and it ran a treat, very much like Mr Sheen's(Graham) did before he started changeing pipes.
So it gave me a good bench mark,to be honest it wouldn't hold a bloody candle to mine,a combination of a lot of time and money and the Power Commander!!!,it's not set up yet but have very high hopes for it,the biggest difference it revs, after 4 grand it goes bananas!!!no idea if it will be the same after the Dyno we'll see, there are 3 S's to do.
Their due to go Tuesday and then i've got some arm twisting to do.

Well this only half the story cuz hopefully I(we) may get to ride e'm tommorow, although if my Dymags turn up for my Tiger, then i sure as hell hell won't have time, but thats another story!!.
John had both the bikes on the Dyno, the good news or bad news depending on your piont of view is the stock map can't be bettered,he had a good look at the map and said it was bang on.
The most important thing being that the motors aren't running week up on the top end, both Lloyd and i run a similar set up,Induct,SJ filter,he use's an Arrow system which is 2-1-2 with a bigger bore on the cans, where as mine is a 2-2 system made by JHP some years ago, there was only 3hp between them.
.......although i have to say well down on a semi factory 749!!!
and a bog standard Gixxer thou
With the emphasis on the 'bog'.
It's got 1500 miles on it, and fails to light my candle in the oomph department. It goes quite quick, but doesn't feel really quick, if you kniw what I mean - maybe it needs a little fettling in bournemouith.

Sounds like a plan, the new Suzuki shop in Daventry has its' demo fleet just arrived, have to get a go when they've got a few miles on them.

It's not how fast you ride, it's how you ride fast.
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear
bright until you hear them speak.

Take off one of the plug leads off to give it some 'lumpy S' character.
