Sports touring the truth.....

Post by Ade B »

In light of recent posts - what do we use our trusty S for the most

I spend most of the time pootling around London and the SE for work (which would be better spent on the Vespa in the city - if it worked all the time  ) and then very occassionaly go on a little solo weekend jaunt, or set off on a long haul 2 up for a holiday....

No doubt most users on this forum do a lot of everything.

Sad truth is day in day out my S gets used as an upmarket scooter.....

Given we can only tick one box - which would it be....

i had to vote for commuting because it does that 4 times a week - however, i also use it for weekend blasts, long trips (in winter) - though slightly less blasty when giving a demo ride for the iam  ! my last s did everything EXCEPT commute - i think that says a lot about the bike - it can do everything :D

Ade, it's not really going to be valid unless you add an option for All of the above

I certainly can't answer it with any one of the options, sorry

It doesn't have to be valid its just a bit of fun/curiosity. I also didn't include trackdays although we know that twodear actually races his...

If there is a point to the above its that we can't usually do everything all of the time, normally there is a bias even though, as I said, most of us ride an S because we use it for all sorts...

Was simply wondering what people did with their bikes and the great thing about this public forum is if the categories don't fit you can say so

(and I can't edit the poll....)

(and we all know polls are meaningless and statistics can be manipulated to suit.... whatever)

All of them but hopefully not too much of the last one, and a bit more of all the other when the weather warms up. Its even cold in the south west tropics and bloody windy at the moment.

Touring.

IMHO it's a total weapon for the pan euro blasts. Me and Sue end up smiiling like idiots and enjoying the journey as much as the destinations.
