Only one warm hand

Post by skiddy boxers »

My right hand is warm and my left hand is cold. :?

I've managed to suss out that the left hand heated grip isn't working. I am quite perseptive you see but unfortunately technically inept.

What I'd like to know is this a common failure and what is the most likley reason?.

Comments greatly appreciated
Nick

Don't know why but it's always the left grip that fails(something to do with the clutch usage me thinks). You'll need to phone a breakers like Motorwroks and ask for a secondhand replacement. You can also buy new but they will be expensive(around the £100 mark!)

Thanks for the comments

I took it out yesterday and both grips worked, so now I'm wondering if I imagined it or it's an intermittent problem. :?

I got a warranty with the bike so it's booked in for Wednesday

They'll probably tell you that the grips aren't covered under the warranty. Depends how helpful your local dealer is. See Minivin's comment.

Left grip is supposedly the one that goes most often as many folks grab that and manouver bike around while standing on the side stand side of the bike.
