2025 Mega Trip, Part I - Indonesia

Post by GRAgusta »

Inspired by our friend's desire to celebrate his retirement in Truk Lagoon we front loaded our trip with a ten day dive safari in Indonesia. To be precise Raja Ampat. This area is world famous for small critters, so that was to be my focus.

We started and finished in West Papua.

Some of the small critters:

My main objective was to find pygmy seahorses .... these guys are roughly 15mm long max.

This location was recently on BBC with David Attenbrough ... he'd left before we arrived.

The diving was world class, and at least one deserved to be in our top ten all time, this was in Misool, which is worth going back to.

And it was good to get away from Scotland in January.

Fantastic pictures and it looks like you had a fabulous time. It's amazing what you can achieve with an Kodak instamatic in a clear plastic bag

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
