Where is the go to place for bmw spares? Dealer? Motorworks? I only want daft crush washers for final drive and engine oil drain plugs.

My 'go to' place is Motorworks, I pickup the drain washer kits with sump plug, gearbox plugs and final plug washers: -

But they do sell them individually too.

It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better, but apart from that it was excellent.

Another vote for Motorworks.

Dealers are good for short notice items like filters because they'll have stuff in stock, but they'll obviously be more expensive.

I used motorworks, found the items I wanted in the service list. I only asked because I was of the understanding that BMW had stopped supplying aftermarket re sellers.
