BMW TECHLUSION TFI ELECTRONIC JET KIT
Has anyone had experience with one of these? It electronically alters the signals to management unit, thus adjusting the fuel delivery. About £150. Does it work??

Oyster. 1999 R1100S. Almost original.
I had one for a while but they're a bit crude only adding fuel and only sampling every 500 rpm I believe. I never got to the dyno set-up so can't really say it didn't work but it didn't really impress that much.
Some of the GS guys sing it's praises but mainly because it cures the surging problems that some are afflicted with. I've never had a surging problem so of little use to me.
If you still go ahead I'd recommend the £225 plug'n'play version over the £150 hard wired one so at least it's easily removed with no evidence of it having been fitted.
The power commander is probably the way to go but a bit pricey.

Forgive me father for I have sinned... ex S owner moved onto pastures new with four cylinders and a chain... and back to a twin, albeit in a V.
I know two people who had a techlusion set up (one S and one GS) and they both packed up at about two tears after fitting. Don't think they would recommend it
The dedicated PC for the S is still not available, the best option is a Ducati monster one with dyno time to set it up. Not cheap.

I thought about it, but never did it!!
It (the Techlusion) and the Power Commander will only change the amount of fuel into the engine. Neither will do anything about the timing or anything else.
I was concerned about the engine running weak. There are lots of stories about major engine disasters with weak running. A dyno test (using readings under load) showed that by removing the Cat Code Plug, disconnecting the lamda probe and fitting a K1200RS fuel regulator, I had solved the problems of weak running. Incidentally, the fuel pressure regulator from the K1200RS is the same part as fitted to the current R1200GS.
The major difference between the Techlusion and the Power Commander is that the Techlusion can only add to the quantities of fuel whereas the the Power Commander can also reduce the amounts where necessary.
Actually there is another major difference - the Techlusion is available and the Power Commander is not!!!!
