Greetings

Post by GerryB »

I'm an old bike rider / racer , but new to BMW bikes .

I'm originally a South African living here in UK since 2006 .

Began track racing back in 1975 on a 200 Yamaha RD .

Then raced various bikes all the way until 1989 .

Then started racing Off Road , Enduros & hare Scrambles , all the way until 2006 .

But now I've bought a second hand R1100S last week & have managed nearly 200 miles , with a big smile !!!

So I hope you will all forgive me when I ask a few questions as we go along .

I've not played on a road bike for many years , always naked dirt bikes , so I've got to get used to removing tons of plastic bits just to check a battery or what ever ...

I'll be asking stupid questions ...

Other interests , hobbies , a bit of mountain bike riding and air rifle field competitions .

Welcome Gerry from one newbie to another,it's a good forum with lots of bods with lots of knowledge, me not included! But someone has to make them feel clever don't we.
Yes the battery is in a bit of a buger place but on the posative side you can do lots without an engineering degree.
You will like it here and I'm sure you will enjoy th BM.

Regards Marsh
er, mmmmm I'll think of something funny soon.
