stainless steel fasteners

Post by Motocod »

Does anyone do kits, so that I can replace the fasteners on my bike? Specifically on the engine, as I have a few that are a bit manky.

Failing that, if anyone perhaps has a list of what different sizes are used, so that I can buy the right ones, that'd be great.

Thanks,

Nik

Thanks Steve. But at £125 for a kit I think I'll source my own!!

If I can be bothered I'll take out the bolts one at a time and measure them. I may just do something more interesting like drink beer though.

Check for the use of a fine pitch thread, especially anything over m8.

Top Tip, buy a dremmel, some metal polish and some polishing heads, polish off grime, paint and hey presto shiny bling for next to nowt and you know they are the right type of bolt. Some after market stuff sucks.
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)

Thanks for that Dave. Still expensive, but not so bad when you consider there are 182 items.

cheers,
