Finally got the last peice of the jigsaw today. I brought the Laser street legal end cans from Sport-Moto and bery nice they are to.

So onto my set up etc.

I already have the Laser chip and Y-piece fitted. I'm about to install the end cans. I have a K&N air filter but thats still in the box.

So calling on the collective wisdom os those who have walked this path before. Do I fit the filter as well? will it be to rich / lean etc and what can I expect to gain / experience etc.

The bike is a 2002 BCR which still hasn't got 6000 miles on it yet. Yes I know thats a crime but I live on an island not more than 175 miles long where it's to bloody hot in the summer to ride.

Thoughts and advice is always greatly received.

There appear to be many different opinions about this.

FWIW my 2003 BCR has got the Laser chip, Y-piece and rear cans with the tailpipe noise reducers removed. An entirely subjective opinion from somebody who I trust (after a 30 min thrash) reckoned it is running too weak and fitting the K&N (also still in its box) or modifying the inlet pipe would be a complete waste of time until the fuelling was sorted.

Hopefully, in a couple of weeks I am going to get it onto a dyno to check, and then see what difference removing the cat-code plug and disconnecting the O2 sensor does to the mixture. Then mods to the inlet, fit the K&N and if necessary try the basic Techlusion.

Fingers crossed!!

I don't have the chip but run an open pipe, K+N,Induct runs fine and i've checked the plugs several times and there fine.
