Rob,

Sorry about that. Because we're having minor technical problems (the bloke on top of the tall hill isn't pointing the arial in the correct direction) we've relaxed the normally stringent security which prevents guests from posting. Looks like we missed a forum...

When it's all working properly (i.e. the wet string is pulled really taught), guests will be allowed to view most forums, but only registered users will be able to post. Once logging in is fettled, that shouldn't be a problem...

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Rob - I had the same problem on Visordown. Seems the pre-set avatar size doesn't bear much relation to what you can use. I've increased ours a tad - have another go, see if it'll play ball this time.

Bike lists in the sig?? Isn't that a bit..er... Pelican?? ;)

Hmmm. Spooky. I'm having the same problem. I'll check it out tomorrow evening.

I've put one up in .gif format but no show either. 80x80 pixel, sub 2K.

You guys using remote or gallery avatars? I've just changed the settings to allow either, see if it works now.

Supposedly uploaded from my drive to site. I'll try a remote server.

Link to offsite server works. Might be an upload problem to this site's server as the upload from URL didn't work, either.

Rob, what format is your avatar? Mine's .gif and it's coming up from my remote server.
Also, some servers don't allow remote linking to other servers. I've seen this problem before. Geocities was notorious for it some time back.

Guys,

If anyone knows of a good collection of Avatars we can download, let me know where we can find them and I'll upload them. I managed to find one set which I'll stick on, but it's mostly Japanese cartoon style faces, which are frankly a bit dull.

Cheers,

Paul
