LED indicators - being designed for R1100s

Post by oyster »

I have been chatting to Allan at LED gear about bits and have decided to get a full set of led indicators. This is something he does a lot, but has not done any for this bike yet. So, having checked the cd manual & my grey official BMW manual -!! No wiring diagram. They do show a wiring layout, but no schematic. So if anyone can forward an electronic one to me - thanks - I can pass it on.
By the way, what are the two open ended sockets under the rear right hand panel?

thanks all

One will be for the accessory socket and the other will be for something else. The wiring diagram is a manual in itself, available from your dealer for not much cash

What is the fascination with LED indicators :?: I mean, it's not like bulbs are expensive to replace, and they last almost as long as the bike anyway.

The indicators at the rear are like Charlie's ears, they stick out. I got back from one outing with the nearside rear hanging by the wire - not saying I ride that close, but something knocked it off! And the fixing system leaves a lot to be desired. So, new rear plate bracket is on it's way, new lowered indicators to be fitted to it. I just thought while I am mucking about there already.......
When Ledgear has sorted a system - he says any style of rear indicator can be accomodated, even converting the existing, I shall let all know that there is another option for the R1100S!

Yes, the standard indicators are a bit flimsy, but there are plenty of fancy bulb type indicators out there to choose from. I just wondered what makes someone choose an LED type over a bulb type. :?
