Any details about the format, seeing as I am a noob, presumably rideouts sat and sun with some carousing thrown in

2009 Triumph Speed Triple
2006 Aprilia Tuono RSVR
2006 Aprilia Tuono RSVR
Most arrive on the Friday evening, and alcohol is tested and imbibed I'm led to believe.
Group ride out at 10:00 am <sharp> with empty bladders and full fuel tanks. Usually circa 200 miles or so around north and mid Wales finest, with a lunch stop and two coffee breaks. Pace is very sedentary with not one single speed limit ever being exceeded
and as the last man drop off is used those who are even slower don't feel pressured into achieving the speed limit
Group dinner on the Saturday night, where more alcohol is imbibed and lots of utter b*ll*x is talked and debated. Strippers don't turn up until the elderly members have gone to bed (and the very few remaining are so drunk at this point that it's a waste the strippers bothering really).
Sunday is breakfast, hangover, some brave souls go for a head clearing short spin others start making their way home/visit the Ponderosa/visit the Prospect Tea Rooms for Whinberry tart (if a few want to do this then I may have to warn them to cater for a group) etc
Sunday evening the recriminations start
The Wild Pheasant have a group deal for us for £99 for the two nights for Dinner, bed and breakfast all in. Just mention my name and Boxertrix when booking.
There are alternative hotels & a hostel nearby (walking distance) if the WPH is full and the WPH will allow others to join the group dinner on Saturday evening for the appropriate palm crossing of silver
Some of the pix from this years
viewtopic.php?t=15500&start=195
and this years group dinner menu was

I seem to recall we had 46 staying at the WPH etc plus day visitors for the ride out so it's a very well attended event.
We REALLY REALLY need to start doing a group photo before the ride out on Saturday morning, perhaps at 9:45 get the bikes lined up and do the pix and the drop off explanation at the same time?

genuinely sorry to hear thatBoxadog 2000 wrote:Must have missed this thread and the chance to vote on where to stay.
We will not be going next year as I (we) do not like the absolutely characterless Hotel the bar is pits to segregated.
For my two peneth Betwsycoed was far better

I've not stayed at the hotel in Betws but I can recall being told it was £70 per person per night for room only with breakfast and dinner on top. So the £49.99 the WPH does for us for D,B&B seems much better value, of course if everyone wants to have a different venue subsequent year that's no problem
