Didn't realise the 900 Divvy ever had a factory pannier option? I was under the impression only third party options where available

Yes and no.slparry wrote:third party then.
But some are specifically designed from the original conception to accomodate panniers and the manufacturers are given the designs of those by the motorcycle designers, as per BMW, and say Pan's/FJR13's/GTR14'sbikesnbones wrote:Yes and no.slparry wrote:third party then.
They were model specific, in that for the Divvy, they used a different mounting system.
Whereas the generic Krausers used a kind of wing bracket, for the Divvy, it was a piece of moulded plastic that fitted to the subframe, via 2 longs bolts through the side panels.
I don't think any manufacturer actually make their own panniers.
They are ususally made by a third party.
OK OK I give up.slparry wrote:But some are specifically designed from the original conception to accomodate panniers and the manufacturers are given the designs of those by the motorcycle designers, as per BMW, and say Pan's/FJR13's/GTR14's
As opposed to cobbled together after thought solutions which is what you're describing
