Just sorted out a deal on a black 1200S.

Seems a good bit slower than my current Yamaha but gives me back the character I was missing.

I've had an R1150GS and R1100S before so it shouldn't be too much of a shock to the system........still won't get used to the indicators though!

Welcome Scuzzlebutt,

Do you have a first name?

Is it a Yamaha C90 you are comparing it to?

The indicators take a bit of getting used to, but in all honesty - I'm now a full convert, and hate the "conventional" switch on my R-1.

Only thing I'd like to see is the cancel button swapped over with the horn button, and the ability to press the turn button a second time to cancel, a la Hardly Dangerous.

Anyway - plenty to see on this site with respect to how to "bling up" your 1200s

Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

Nah, FZ1S; cracking bike and to be honest, I left the dealer thinking "what have I done?".

I'm a compulsive bike buyer so it's not my fault...in fact I'm a victim of the evil bike trade :P

Anyway, the GS was the best all round bike I've owned and the 1100S wasn't too bad either - still hated the indicators after a combined 3 yrs of ownership though!

Welcome Scuzzlebut. I'm occasionally up in furrybootsland, so look out for a wobbly fat guy on a black R1200S.

HJ, there is a road in Aberdeen called The Lang Stracht, so there must be a straight bit somewhere. :D
In hiatus from motorcycles.

I'd also like a horn button and Headlamp flasher that were within easier reach. My Old 900 Diversion had ideal flash and horn buttons you could use both at once without moving your hand from the bars.
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity
