Hello all

Post by macky42 »

Just saying hello, I've been lurking a short while but now I'm more or less decided on an R1100S I thought I'd introduce myself.
I'll probably be looking at a couple over the next few days, so would anyone like to give me a few pointers on what to look for specific to this bike, as well as the usual things?
Could you also say where to find the frame and engine numbers?
Thanks very much.

Hi Mike,
Welcome to "Boxertrix". You'll find some of the +&- Points in Boxerbanter under the Next months Ride Mag heading. Frame no is on the mainframe down by the rear brake pedal if I recall correctly.

Peter.

Well, today I did the deed, and bought this one:

I rode it 150 miles home through rain and hail showers without stopping, apart from fill ups either end, so must have been enjoying myself. I think this is going to be fun :D

Hi macky,
Welcome to the club.
Nice bike, that´s the colour bike I took my first test ride on, crappy condition, tyre pressures down to 1,5 bar front and back, handled like a pig, but still decided to buy one, Mandarin/titan and haven´t regretted it at all 1500Km down the line.
Have fun, just a pity you won´t enjoy the roads and weather we enjoy down here.

Un saludo

Karlos
