Post by gus »

Hi all
Finally got around to passing my car test.Something i made a pact with my brotherinlaw never to do.
"Me,i,m a proper biker.Getting a car is selling out"
He got his when his first kid arrived.
I got mine when our kid arrived.
Thing is,i hate been in a car.

Well done, I guess? :thumbleft: P'raps you should have bought a Reliant Robin for your family transit duties, so you don't suffer the ignomony of having a car license

Check you new license still has the bike entitlement on it when it comes back from Swansea. Might be worth photocopying the old one before you send it off, just in case...

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Bad luck Gus

Since riding the bike more, everyday to work and back, I've grown more and more to detest driving in the car or being driven. However I can't deny that it does come in handy when transporting the wife and child about as well as other houshold items that don't fit on the back seat of the bike... Not to say the wife doesn't fit on the back, but you get my point tho

Well done Gus, I have had a car now for just over 4 years (since getting a dog...). Had the S longer :D Now on my second car as a grown up..

There'll be lots of new things to get used to like heaters, stereos and storage space.

Oh and a roof...

Its shocking how baby paraphernalia can fill half a back seat, passenger foot wells and the boot

Hope all is well with the little one.

Indeed I am enjoying it 3months in, especially as we're on a weekend away in Dorset and junior is now fast asleep. He's just started to laugh which is hilarious - you've got to be there...

The S has acquired an orange seat  to replace its dead black one, courtesy of another board member and I'm looking forward to dazzling people at a brekkie run some time soon.
