RAM Mounts for R1100S for Garmin streetpilot III (BMW NavGPS

Post by masha »

I have a photo of where I would like to mount my Garmin / RamMount on my R1100S - when I find out how to add pictures I will do so shortly.

In the mean time I would like to find a mount to fit it securely to sit in the 'space' between the ignition barrel and the speedo cluster.

Does anyone have a good mount to achieve this - it will need to move with the bars and therefore somehow needs attaching to the bars/yoke?

Looks like a good position - unfortunately I don't have that type/position or mirror arm as the BoxerCup bike differs in this way.

I've a top yolk mount exactly the same as madman, which I could be persuaded to part with, if anyone is interested :!:

top yoke certainly puts it in a good position - I might be interested to try one of of those with it (let me know how much you want for it) . Some of the other RAM and Touratech mounts look good - I like the idea of the Touratech lockable ones (but they cost almost as much as the GPS is worth these days!)

I wouldn't bother with a Touratech mount, to be honest - just get a garmin or RAM cradle and mount to a RAM arm and clamp to suit your self. Add a power socket in the instrument surround and just take the GPS with you when you are off the bike. :D

Al :D
