I too am interested in one of these.
For £240 plug and play it sounds like a solution to go along with a full race exhaust which I already have.
I don't know if the existing set up is compensating for the increased airflow and so can only assume that the engine on my r1200s is now running lean. So I am keen to do something about it.

From what I have read up it simply uses the existing map and increases the fueling by 'x' percent across the rev range - which may explain why the part number is the same for each model supported. Thus whatever existing map is in use is not an issue as it uses this as its base settings.

A RapidBike system would be the better option but while the results are excellent you need to know what you are doing to get the best out of it - what is more with the RapidBike (like the DynoJet PowerCommander) it is possible to do as much damage to the engine as it can do good.

The Wunderlich site is short on info - but translated it says this....

"performance CONTROLLER" an ingenious invention of the father of the electronic Tunings for fuel injection engines and a perfect optimization instrument, with which you can stop the achievement development of your boxers easily. Full achievement gains, a supple engine run (no more Kostantfahrruckeln) and a undreamt-of fast fuel intake are guaranteed. More torques and achievement over the entire speed range (approx. 9% performance increase over the entire drivingactive range from 3000 to 7000 U/min). Spontaneous fuel intake. Faster winding (14% up faster than original). No Konstantfahrruckeln. Perfect, already preset basic tuning. Easily even adjustable performance over entire trick number-bound. Attitude on all changes (Blue air cleaner, exhaust systems etc..) and conditions can be made fast. Fast resetting to the basic adjustment. Engine-harmful attitudes or faulty operations are impossible. Simple plug connection to the wiring harness. No interference into the Motronic, wiring harness etc.. With Lambdasonden connection. Special "Wunderlich edition" for the European market (rating improved again, the there in this country world-wide probably best Spritqualitaeten available are). Absolutely waterproof and stable overall construction. Extremely small housing (84 x 50 x 10 mm). Completely with self adhesive Klettband, cable straps and guidance. 30 days return right: They have 30 days time to convince itself of the qualities of the system. If it should not say to you, you can return it without indication of reasons and get the full purchase price refunded. Already the base adjustment (with series muffler, collecting tank, elbow union and air cleaner) offers a plus at achievement and torque and a clearly noticeable plus at run culture (winds up substantially more softly and evenly). In connection with the achievement elbow union, our sport muffler and Blue air cleaner here undreamt-of Tuning possibilities result. The supply takes place completely ready to be installed with original plug connectors.

I don't understand why you think the Rapidbike system can also be bad for your bike.

I would speak with Nigel Wood who sells these units already pre-programmed to suit a particular set up.

If I can be clear on the point.
If you're going to buy a fully adjustable system and then rely only on the maps supplied by the seller there isn't really much point in a fully adjustable system.

If you get one and know what you're doing, absolutely great. If you get one, then start tinkering without knowing what you're doing, increase the rev limit by, say, 1,000rpm while decrease the fuelling I'm guessing the engine is going to be pretty goosed after that.

I declare a vested interest

The Wunderlich Power Controller is the old 'Techlusion' box. I think Wunderlich have got the exclusive rights to sell it for the R1200 range.

There are plenty of opinions on this board about Techlusion

You can't 'tinker' with the Rapidbike.

You have a box. You have a PC interface and cable. You have PC software to talk to the box. I'd say pretty much all you need for some late evening tinkering.

Wether or not it makes sense to alter any mapping settings without access to a dyno is another story.

All very true, but only available at extra cost, and not quite what I meant by 'tinkering'.

The Techlusion has three (or is it four?) knobs which you can play around with in a similar way to tuning a carburettor. THAT could be described as 'tinkering'!

Yous comment about the dyno is spot on.
