I've had a scan through the previous threads and still can't find what I'm loking for so sorry if I'm going over old ground.
I'm looking for a stand for a R1200S that I can use to remove the rear wheel anyone have any recommendations ?
Also where do you fit your tax disc ? (apart from the lefthand side of the bike that is) I've just spent half an hour doing a 5 minute job and still not happy
I bought the official R1200S paddock stand from BMW - excellent piece of kit, dismantles flat, fits all other single sided BMW's. I've ragged the bike all over the place and not had it fall over while it was on it. They're about £140. You can get a cheap version from Wunderlich called the 'GS Lifter' for about £60.
Tax disc? Try fitting it to the back of the left side foot peg bolt. The gear linkage is on the inside of the rearset and there is a stud that you can get a thin washer on - if you boaught one of those fancy thick carbon/aluminium jobbies you might struggle...too thick.
BMW stand facilitates rear wheel removal, no worries. With care you can also use to remove front as well. (Jack under sump, wood to protect etc etc.)
I made a bracket for my Tax Disc from mild steel. It attaches to the nearside subframe rear. Keeps it tucked out the way, not keen on it attached to engine or front end.

I was finding it hard to stomach £140 for a rear paddock stand when I've just bought a new 400Kg hydraulic motorcycle lift for £200 off fleabay but there you go.
As for the tax disc I thought I'd have to come up with a bracket of sorts to make it look respectable.
