autocom arrived.just read the instructions and it says if your bike has abs then do not use tail light as live feed.sorry for being stupid but is that the case or has anyone wired it up using tail light as live feed with no problems on a abs bike
i know you should always follow the instructions cos they know best but thought i had read somewhere that it was ok. :?

Much as I dislike being told what to do and very rarely read instruction books, take the advice of the good guys at Autocom - they know their stuff
My advice would be to buy a bike without ABS then you can wire your skwark box wherever you want

yes I think the abs bike is more sensitive to voltage differences e.g. in brake light circuits. why not use the additional power lead that rests under the seat along the subframe? the last time a mate fitted autcom and found an accessible power takeoff point he noticed a noise and degradation in sound quality now and again(and again and again) when he put the indicators on! (I chose alternative routing)

I ran mine from my power socket - stuck a connector on the end and put all the gubbins in my tank bag. Not ideal but it works ok.

In the right hand fuse box( as sat on bike)there is a spare 2 pin plug, well there was on mine, I used it for my tyre pressure monitoring system as its linked to the ignition, maybe that will do you.
