Anyone fitted a Pyramid Hugger

Anyone fitted one of these?

Bought one today and have fitted it but the instuctions are a little vague as regards the washers.

there are 2 flat ally washers and 2 rubber washers, now do you put the rubber washer behind the ally ones or on the other side of the plastic so its between the bolt head and the hugger if you see what I mean

now im confused

Heres a pic of how I have it at present with the rubber washer under the ally one

Hi timbox,
I have the same type of hugger and thats the same way that I fitted mine. I agree the instructions were a bit vague but Iv'e had mine on now for almost a year with no ill effects.

Yep, thats how mine went together also. More by chance than enything else. It was a 50-50 thing.

I was just releaved that I didnt have to figure out which side of the wheel it went on, or indeed, which wheel.

PS :

did anyone notice the lack of a bolt in my speedo pickup?

Snappped of a couple of months ago so araldited in at present, one day Ill be brave enough to try getting the old bolt out, but at 700 quid for a final drive if it all goes wrong thought Id wait abit.

You have them correct as in the photo. Bit of advice.. use thread loc on the machine screws as they have a tendency to vibrate loose. If you dont you will loose them.

Ahh, I put threadlock on the big bolts for the calipers, but used copper slip on the machine screws as thats what Pyramid advised, you have obviously found out that maybe not advisable, Ill check em every few days and see how they go, thanks Scott

i got a new set of ruber fitted today after my rotten luck with the old set.
went for the Bridgestone BT021s

No Probs mate, not sure when Im going back yet, maybe a couple of weeks
Let me know how you get on with the BT021's , bit pricey though arent they?

hi tim,
paid 178 pound fitted for the pair...but i did have the wheels already removed from the bike...
not bad though...another garage quoted: 229,-

Umm, not too bad I suppose especially if they are as good as the hype, though I always found the old BT020 a pretty good tyre.

have to say the only time I can ever remember thinking, jesus thats a great tyre was when I had a set of Pirelli Diablos put on one of me old Kwacks, generally though I cant tell much difference, not like the old days when the jap bikes came with Jokahamas (YOKAHAMA), think they had ball bearings in the compound
