Patience is a virtue, so say

Just not one I recognise.............

It all started yesterday when i decided that to speed things along in readiness for the shiny new Y Piece winging its way to me from motorworks I would free off all the exhaust bolts

Lesson 1) If you dont need to undo it leave it the f.. alone

But not I, much easier I decided if i take the manifolds off, so armed with the biggest breaker bar I have, wang wang, snap oops oh dear me, or words to that effect, one stud mullered.
Now, thought id look at the forum about such matters and it would seem that the general concensus was to take the head off and give to an engineering firm, nah not me, blow torch, stud extractor, wang wang snap, again this time right up to the head, give in??, No, I will fix this

Bring out the GIMP, or in my case the dremel and the Tungsten carbide cutters, 2 hours later, result, most of stud removed and retapped hole, new stud inserted and Y Piece, which arrived while I was doing all this, fitted, Jes does it go now, especially with the Chip that was already fitted from a previous life.

Lesson 2) Actually its this, if you really are determined and have the tools, and the time, you can do it.

Now, wheres that copy of Zen and the art of............
