Traffic Island=1 Riders foot =0

Bit embarrassing this one..... managed to catch my right boot on a traffic island joining a the A4 at Heathrow today. Done it a few times before but only minor (wake up!) ones.
No other vehicles involved! Don't know how or why it happened. Just maybe rather far cranked over and cutting the Apex too close!

Result is a bit of bone broken off the side of my foot.

My leaky Daytona is now looking a bit buggered and I know they'll charge me for the repair. ARSE!

So a few hobbling days lay ahead at the comfort of home.
Daytime TV anyone?!

I've managed this a few times but never at any speed (usually when filtering)

Managed to scrape the bottom of the paralever arm square once on a roundabout in Anglesea - completely misjudged the turn for no apparent reason...

hope you heal up quick..

Ade, I did that paralever arm trick once before, only I actually came to a full stop cos I'd done it so well whilst filtering

Richard, Yep the ES is mine when it arrives from Newcastle,County Down.

Bailey, how the hell you survive down there i've no idea,dropped a bike off by London Bridge tube station and collected another from Metropolis at V/Bridge jesus what a nightmare

Particularly tasty roundabout just around from Metropolis before Westminster Bridge...

I got a clear run round the elephant roundabouts this evening, about as much fun as you can have on a bike in the city

Had to larf,when i was picking the bike up must have been 20 dossers on the grass bank at the back of the shop completely pissed.

Chris, it's wierd when you are born into it, it's somehow stuck in your blood! The times I've moved away from 'da smoke', I've really missed it.
Somtimes you have a bad day and bloody hate the place, but on the whole I get a right good buzz out of it.
I don't think I'd like it as much driving a van round town tho!

Agreed.

When conditions are right, London can be quite a giggle to ride through - it's certainly a buzz I'll give it that. Does take practice though; a couple of weeks not riding around the Smoke and it's bloody scary the first time back. Often pop in on the MZ - it really is the perfect tool for the job; nippy enough to 40 or so, good handling, excellent front brake (a bit too excellent actually!), titchy turning circle, v narrow and the loudest standard horn I've ever heard on a bike.
