A VFR1000 is quite an exciting prospect - all it needs is the V-tec junking, the geared cams re-inserting, and belt drive. Oh...and can we have the RC30/45 firing pattern too so it doesn't sound like a CB500 with a duff plug lead?
Now that sounds the nuts!
Maybe I'm a shit rider, but I use the back brake on its own quite a lot. If I'm too hot into a bend it goes on, it steadies me on roundabouts and 'U' turns and was invaluable in the pyrenees and other such twisty turny routes.
I did consider a Blackbird too but as well as the brakes (which I have too admit I haven't experienced, I just know that I dont want the front going on when I touch the back brake) it's too damned fast. I got rid of the 'Blade because a was afraid of losing my license, and I know the rider decides how much he opens the throttle but that's what 'Blades and 'Birds are for. Going fast. If I lived in Spain (what an amazing place to own a bike) I might have one of the big boys but not in the UK. Having said that, I really do like the sound of a sorted VFR1000
