Play in rear wheel?

Post by Robinyuill »

Hi there. I have a 2004 Boxer Cup and I had it up on an Abba stand today and when I was playing around with the rear wheel and noticed that there was some play. It's only got 6250 miles on it. I know, I should get out on it more often, so is this the end of some rear bearing? The wheel turns smoothly and it doesn't feel like the swinging arm bearings. The movement is only just there but I have a GS1150 with 12000 miles and there is no perceptible play in the rear wheel. Bike had a dealer service a short time back and they have usually been good for service and reliability so is it time for the cheque book? Thanks. Robin.

I'd be very surprised if it isn't the paralever bearings. They probably need a quick adjust.
