What a moaning bastard.
I'm sure any Vincent would do 20k miles with just a sniff of oil and a top-up of the tyre pressures. On mis-matched tyres, that is.
...someone with respect for the environment perhaps? (in defence of minivin!) Seriously, minivin's list is too familiar: my cat was rattling by 20k miles, the paintwork on the forks/yokes could be a lot better, everybody and their uncle has had leaking final drive seals, and my front brembos are on the bench...Still a great bike though!
'Hinterachsge' translates as 'rear axle'.(Not 'Differential', so f*** off)
They just said the seal looked a bit wet but couldn't find the cause. I hadn't used the bike after I found the leak, so I had only covered about 50 miles after I had cleaned out the gaiter. If it was a cock up I don't think anyone would admit to it anyway. Hopefully it is sorted now.
It will be difficult riding the bike all the way to Garmisch with crossed fingers.
