Paddock Stand or Centre Stand for '04 BoxerCup

Post by masha »

Can anyone confirm prices / suppliers (for my 2004 BoxerCup) of:
- paddock stand
- centre stand to fit this bike (BMW part no.)
- BMW workshop auxilery stand 'special tool no. 00 1 560'

I'm looking to change my tyres next week and I need a stand to get the wheels off to take the wheels to Watling tyres.

Alternatively if anyone located in my area (ie Kent) has something suitable I could either buy or borrow for a couple of days I'd be grateful.

Thanks in advance for any useful advice in this area :D

As far as I'm aware there is no genuine BMW center stand for the BCR or the SS.

ABBA Superbike stand seems to be the most popular center stand and I think they also do a front lift. There website is here

Also boxer design do a paddock stand here

Hope this helps :)

Cheers

That's really helpful thanks - and I liked some of the other accessories available from BoxerDesign - do they have a UK importer or outlet - or do we have to order parts from Germany Direct? :?

I know - I spotted the ebay one - but is going for more than a new one - ebayers need a reality check sometimes - mad.

Thanks - I wish I could speak German - a good range and I'll try and decypher that link, unfortanately as good as the shop/range look, it doesn't look like its a supplier that could get me a paddock stand promptly for a tyre change next week. Looking for UK importers/outlets really, thanks. Matthew

If you have a Wunderlich dealer near, they have a nice stand for the BCR.

BCR rear paddock stand

Post by boxerscott »

Centre stand ? Youre havin a laugh !! R1100s bmw workshop stand will not get rear wheel in air on your bike, this one will, Simoto creative manufacturing, Claypits farm buildings, Bardfeild road, Thaxted, CM6 2 LR
tel 01371 831999 email simon.simoto@yahoo.co.uk. For road BCR expect to pay £140.00 all inc. Best tyres mmn? subjective this one lifes short I try to test them all currently using Pilot Power have not managed to square the rear off on this one had them put on in Millau on way to Northern Spain and back to Scotland, then a couple of blasts down to North Yorks, Bilsdale, Whitby Moors very fast roads feel very good in wet :D you would not be dissapointed with these, next a new rear PP for BMW trackday at Mallory and then a pair of Continental for Aug BH trip to Nurburgring. 04 BCR 18,000 miles 3 pairs of tyres + 2 rears so far.
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)

started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
