A good independant or main BMW garage in Lancashire?

Post by ChasesDragons »

Hi all,
I hope to buy a R1100S soon. First thing to do is to give it a thorough once-over.

So, can anyone suggest a really good independant or main BMW garage in Lancs? I am in Preston.

I've no actual experience of southport superbikes, but they don't have a good reputation, but for an independant (cheaper) option, try manchester motorrad services, they have a place in Golbourne I believe, again, I haven't used them yet, but I spoke to the guy at the manchester show last weekend, seems a nice guy, and he quoted £150 + parts for a 12k service, with free collection and return if required, throughout the northwest. as opposed to £210 quoted by southport.

Thats only about 6 miles from you. Are you going to try them for your next service?

We got to set up some kind of thread of recommended Garages and ones to avoid...OK maybe not the latter, in this litigatious society.

I've been doing my own servicing since I bought it, but I am a little spannershy (lazy) so it's been limited to oils and filters so far, but yes, I might give them a try as she's overdue a full service.
