Pay the 4 grand extra the place will be worth 4 grand more in less than 6 months. :lol: the longer you leave jumping on the property ladder the less you can afford :cry:

Sort of...

Keys today, looked around tonight, its bigger than I remember (bonus!) Phase 1 move this weekend, followed by mucho skippage & decoration...

The vendor took the fridge and washing machine though which we have apparently paid for... :roll:


Ade (now finally on the housing ladder.....) at some point I'll think about riding the bike..

If these items were listed in the inventory, then get your solicitor to chase them up. It may be that some over-enthusiastic removals firm took them by mistake.

If they dont get returned you can claim the cost of replacement, as the vendor has committed a breach of contract.

On the upside... Welcome to Property Ownership!

You wont regret it. I put off buying my first house till I was 30, as I was too busy having a good time and changing bikes every 6 months. If I had bought a few years earlier, and changed bikes every 3 years or so, I could have afforded a second property, and could now be about £200K better off!
As it is I'm mortgage free at 42, whereas one of the chaps I used to share a rental with in th early 90s has just took on a £270K mortgage, as he was fed up shelling out £700pcm rent on a houseshare (and a fairly crap one at that).

Oh, nearly forgot... have your housewarming BEFORE you unpack.
