my little winter project coming soon : a home-made stealth bracket

...voila !
...this is what I did :
- I disconnected the license plate light and indicator wiring
- took off this piece of black plastic holding the indicators and plate
- cut off that piece which holds the license plate
- gave the remaining part a new shape, abraded it, and gave it back the original finish by polishing it with a piece of nylon floor covering.
- I than mounted this black piece of plastic back, but I mounted it up side down, to see if it would fit (and yes it did !)
- than I turned the license plate light up side down, and because the right indicator was now on the left, and left was right, I changed that also.
- because now 2 out of 4 original bolts for holding the black plastic piece where not long enough, I needed two M6x50 bolts. Together with a few washers and 2, 3 centimeter long, pieces of thin steel tube, I could mount this piece of black plastic back to the muffler.
- nice detail now is, that you cannot see those, to the muffler welded, nuts anymore, and the indicators are more in line with the muffler now.
- but because I still needed to mount the license plate, I took a strip of aluminium (30x2 millimeters), and cut off 2, 14 centimeters long, pieces.
- I gave these 2 pieces the same angle as the taillight has, and mounted them (with 4 very shiny M40x15 bolts) to the remaining black piece of plastic.
- the license plate is held very firmly to the aluminium strips by some sort of automotive tape.
...here a few (high quality...) pics...
...I think I quite like it...
...costs : only 3 Euro...
