classical music

Post by oyster »

Can anyone recommend a (legal) free download site for classical music?
I tried one, but it spent ages trying to locate the chosen track, never did get there.
thanks

limewire's always worth a shot.
do the free program download to ensure you like it rather than pay up front

NOooooh, DO NOT go any where near Limewire free, unless you really know your way around internet security and have all the neccessary firewalls/antivirus in place, or are happy to invite all manner of malware/spyware/trojans/virus etc. into your system.

Most free-music-download sites are riddled with viruses and trojans. There's no such thing as "free" legal music unless its part of a promo.

The best sounding music is that which is paid for at the shops. Support the music and musicians who give you such pleasure. They've got to live too.

Bittorrent is much more useful than P2P for that stuff.
...but if you want legal you should just pay!

I use ALLOFMP3.com. You have to post $10 with them first, but they charge by the MB, not per track. Ive had no trouble.

I use Limewire for what I can get legitimately (if the shops dont sell it...) but then I'm a smug Mac user who doesnt need to worry about viruses and trojans etc.
