Hi folks, In Clymer it says you should not charge the battery up (with Optimate 111) while connected up to the systems electrics. I have always don this on previous bikes and currently on the 2 F650CS's. It is so convenient if you know you will not be using it for a few weeks just to plug in the Optimate to the battery tales you get with it. Any comments please.?
Thanks in advance

Clymer like Haynes only good for toilet paper.
Its bollocks, as long as you charge with the ignition off no problems.
Now go burn the Clymer manual cos as toilet paper it is also rubish.

Stuart
You can download a 'copy' of the genuine BM manual from the 'net for free or, if you can't find it, buy a copy off eBay for a few quid.
Adam (just rubbing in the 'I've wasted £25)
Forgive me father for I have sinned... ex S owner moved onto pastures new with four cylinders and a chain... and back to a twin, albeit in a V.
