Hi Everyone,
I had the ad for the Blackbird swop BCR on the bits for sale page.
Well, I have now sold the Blackbird and today I collected a 2005 BCR on a 54 plate with only 2200 miles on it. Have only ridden it about 6 miles because the back tyre is nearly bald! So can't really comment yet! Apart from I am glad I am tall..................

Had a Blackbird for 3 years and then bought a 1150gs, found it a bit slow so then went through a Hayabusa, ZX12R and then back to another blackbird! Just returned from Switzerland on it and realised that apart from a couple of quick bursts I did'nt use the power, and spent most of my time on the route nationale. I have always loved the look of the BCR, so thought I would give one a try.
The back tyre I assume is the original? Metzler M1b, I don't think the guy who had it before me went around corners much! as the unused (chicken strips) must be at least 4cms if not more, but the centre is completly bald. I have just ordered a new one of the same type, won't be here until Tuesday, so she is sitting in the garage being polished, not that there is much to polish because it is like new.
BUT I WANT TO GO FOR A RIDE!!! Frustrating............................

Howard, welcome to the board.
I had a Blackbird for 4 yrs and loved it. The Boxer is brilliant for the roads round here. If you get up to Yorkshire, specially the Dales, give me a shout on the Days Out section and we can go for a bimble if you like?
