clock stopped!!

Post by johnr1100s »

Maybe not the most pressing of failures!

But the clock on my '99 S has stopped working, and the other day, my tea was nearly cold when I got home!!

Seriously though, I remember reading ages ago that Stempy changed his clock to 24 hours, and gave instructions on how to get the clock out and change the jumper.

I can't remember those instructions, is there a link? is it easy?
Is it a common failure.... I'm assuming a dry joint or something, or has the clock got its own battery??

cheers John

This is the sort of damage you're looking for:

Good luck,

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Or.......just might be the fuse, this is shared with the accessory socket ,if you have one, test it! the fuse is in the rhs box ( rhs faring will need removing, 'sis easy, even I can do it ) 15 amp if memory serves.
