Safe Plate ?

Post by cc mac »

Anyone ever used this stuff or have any experience of it, positive or negative. You spray it onto your number plate and it is supposed to make it unreadable to speed cameras.

Snake oil from Dr Trustme would have the same effect. None. You are also up for a charge of perverting the course of justice - small plates are the more honest approach c/w an ultrastealth bracket from the states :)

If your worried about speed cameras then get a GPS camera detector which will warn you when your approaching a fixed site.
The sprays dont work.
As for small plates, not worth the bother.Ok they look cool, but its one thing to sure piss off a copper and get a tug. Then they can get picky with your zorst and things.

I suggest you ask the person who is selling this stuff to apply it to his plate and then drive through a GATSO at twice the posted speed with you as passenger. His response to this request will probably answer your question.

You are better off with no plate.

Better off carrying a busted plate on your person or in luggage, with split where the screw hole is, then if you do get stopped by plod, youve got the plate to show him, saying you tried to put it back on but couldnt. If you hppen to be gatso'd you're ok

I think the worst you can get for having no plate is a 30 quid fine and no points.

Try this site if you need any further evidence...

Check out the number plate bit under "Product Reviews"
(they are all useless BTW).
