Hi'all. Just fitting a Ilmberger hug to the beastie. Any advice on torque settings? Any fitting pointers gratefully received.
Cheers. Charlie

Take it easy - more than one of us on this forum have stripped the threads of the rear caliper carrier.
I grew up stripping engines, gearboxes and the like and my father taught me how to use feel to work out if something is done up tight. Except where you need very high/specific values (hub nuts, cylinder heads and the like), I always used to use this "feel" technique. I do not remember ever stripping a thread, nor having stuff come undone.
In latter years, I started using a torque on the bike. I've stripped/sheared more threads since making this move. The rear caliper on the S and one of the rocker carrier bolts on my Rockster spring to mind. I'm increasingly reverting to feel!
