Technicians will get more for working in London and the cost of retaining decent staff is an ongoing problem from the service guys down south I've spoken to.
Labour isn't just the cost of the techies it's the whole cost of running the business which is always going to be considerably more in London. They also want to make more profit down south just coz expectations/cost of living is higher.

I don't work for a BMW shop and all the work on my S is done at home, just pointing out realities running a business.

First ever 6,000 mile service on a 2002 BCR at Pidcocks on Friday last week, £179 inc VAT, plus they adjusted the Paralever bearings which had a little play in them ??????

While waiting, took the oportunity to have a blast on the R1200S. Must say I was very impressed. The whole thing felt much lighter and more smaller? than my BCR, and it certainly had a lot more get up and go than mine :D Very tempted.

Then I rode the K1200S......
Ride like your life depended on it.
