RiceBurner down but okay!

Post by bmwonder »

Just say this on Visordown. Ricey's crashed (again!). Must have still been sore from the last one. One totaled K1200R. Check out the Visordown thread. Get well soon Ricey 'ole bean!

Complete thread here; http://www.visordown.com/forums/showthr ... 902&page=1

"Hello everyone! Apparently I am stable, or at least thats what the nurse told my brother who is typing this, at my house while I'm not there.

Yes, its Rev Fred here, disguised as RB, and not the most miraculous recovery since Lazerous.

Anyway, it seems RB had his crash on the A29 somewhere, while heading home. He was taken to East Surrey, where he is, as OB says, awake and undergoing scans x-rays etc.

I have to say that at first it did look bad because the first anyone knew the cops turned up at RB and Mitzi's. Must have given her a hell of a shock. Usually when RB crashes, which lets face is so often I can use the word "usually", he rings someone from the crash scene. As he didn't in this case I was quite worried. Now I'm very relieved he is ok.

This place - RB and Mitzi's - looks like a murder has occured. There's a half eaten dinner on the table and all sorts of signs of activity abruptly stopped. Weird. Its very quiet as Little Mitzi is asleep. She doesn't even know I'm here, so if she wakes up and finds a strange man in the house this whole situation could get a lot worse.

That makes it two R's and one K so far. Not bad going. He's doing his best for BMWs sales figures. I'm just glad he doesn't live in my postcode!

Frippin heck James - get all the crashes out the way early eh. Hope it's just sore, cuts and bruses (and a broken mobile phone) this time, even if the bike is totalled

I bumped into RiceBurner tonight at Box Hill. I can report to the massed ranks of Boxertrix that he seems to be fully functional, apart from a sore left shoulder. He's just bought another Rockster from Vines (they must really love him!).

I was at Box Hill, after reading the article on Biking Pubs in the latest edition of Bike. That prompted me to go to the Black Swan in Ockham (a.k.a. the Mucky Duck) only to discover that it's closed until mid July for refurbishment, hence a speculative bimble over to Box Hill.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

We're you there last night? I stopped by for a tea on the way home. I didn't see any S's. I saw a bronze Rockster though, is that Ricey's new mount?

The bronze one on the side of the parking island nearest to Rykas could well have been RB's. It had a matching Baglux harness on it.

I rolled up at about 8:00pm-ish, which might explain why you didn't spot me on your way home from work, unless you were doing overtime.

Cheers,

Paul
