Work trip ....

Post by slparry »

Had to go to a work jolly with KTM (to test the 790 and 890 range) at Silverstone. Nice to be staying at the Hilton on the circuit at Silverstone :)

Decided to take the K1 as I was keen to try her on a long motorway haul and to test the BMW K1 luggage system.... bike and luggage worked flawlessly!

As an aside I'd kinda dismissed the 790/890's, with owning an 800GS I'd figured they'd be similar .... oh no ..... they're bonkers loads more power and super precise handling. Far more impressive on the road in real world riding than the overpowered 1290 SuperDuke

Good photo Steve. Hope the KTM hierarchy were open and welcoming to the arrival of a classic BMW at their event :D

It garnered a lot of attention ...

Even on the motorway I had people driving at the side of me on the M6 taking photos :D

Nice one Steve,
My son and I took our 2 x K100RS to the TT this year and had plenty of attention. Bikes were superb all the way from South Coast to Liverpool and over the Mountain too
