Boxercup decals

Post by davegooch »

So my 2004 BCR is getting a little bit tatty in places, due to 66k and 15 years of my ownershipI It is well maintained but cosmetically it is not as good as it might be, some of the stickers are scuffed etc.
A quick google search for BMW r1100s boxer cup stickers gave me a link to this site - https://shop.zengraphics.co.uk/bmw-r110 ... stics-spec
Does anyone have any experience at using these people, or alternatively any other advice as to where procure the decals?

Thanks

Dave

Never seen them before, but they claim to be using decent material, and price looks good.

Dave the German did some decal research a few years ago, I think?

there's a place in Galashiels has the 04 decals on file and at a good price - Boxerscott had his made there and the pics might still be on the forum somewhere. They are vinyl graphics and not stickers like the originals. The originals are still available I believe but they are expensive.
They look OK and at that price may be worth a punt

Well - that's handy! Galashiels and the Borders have a lot of great little companies.

Aero Leathers are based there, and are one of the leading companies for high quality gear. https://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/

Dave, it was 8/9yrs ago, that Chris and I ordered sets of BCR decals from DTK Design/Bikedecals. There were issues with them,

I assume it was this mob: http://www.bikedecals.co.uk/

There were issues with the dimensions of the decals and that they had been packed such that the decals had come away from the backing.

EDIT: Ended up getting more decals from Advanced Signs in Gala, and they were £70 for three sets, and I think - Chris applied them.

Al,were those the ones you got off me witch were for the Randy BCR? I got the same ones as you and Chris - they still had them on file. Had a couple of minor problems putting them on with the very tiny pieces not coming off the backing but after the first one did that, I was then aware and took a bit more time. they aren't perfect but I put them on my copy Ricambi Weiss belly pan. I think originals just for the belly pan cost about £200

Yeah, I think so.........

Never did anything with those- still lying around somewhere.

Chris will have more details of the place in Gala, but think they were correct.

Thanks for the help. I found the website for the place in Galashiels and messaged them - no reply yet. If they don't come back to me I'll try the first place I posted, if they're rubbish I'll be out £40, but it could be a lot worse....

See what they say. A good reminder, and they are only 3 miles away from me.

Just remembered, I put a post in "recommended products" with the address. I did ask them to keep them on file

This is what the end result looked like - on a Fibreglass bellypan.
