Chateau Flash, June 18-22, 2020

Postby Paul » Thu Sep 05, 2019 4:11 pm

Folks,

I've booked up for my 2020 trip down to Chateau Flash in France for 2020. If you would care to join me, I'm booked in for the June 18-22 weekend. Full details at Flash's web site here.

The plan would be to take the overnight ferry from Portsmouth->Caen on Wednesday June 17, returning on the Caen-> Portsmouth Ferry on the afternoon of June 23. I'm happy to meet up at Portsmouth to lead a group down to Chateau Flash. I'm also open to the idea of extending the trip with a few extra days in France if anyone else is also interested in doing the same.

Those of you who have been before know what a great holiday this is. If you have not tried it, the draw is fantastic empty roads, good food and good company. It really is like a Boxertrix weekend on steroids. To give you a flavour for the trip, here is a short video I made during this year's visit.

As of today, there are still 9 places available for that weekend, but the places tend to fill up fast. Drop a post on here if you need any more info or if you decide to come along.

All the best,

Paul [smilie=french.gif]
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

A trip to Chateau Flash is something every Boxertrixer should do at least once in their lives!
Great roads, great food, great place and great company. Tony is force of nature, go now before he retires!!

I went last year and enjoyed every minute. I'd be up for going again with Paul (who cooks a mean boeuf bourguignon and can charm a smile out of a grumpy French boulangère at 7 o'clock in morning) again next year BUT it's 3 weeks before my daughter's wedding so I may not get a pass-out. :(

Good luck

Good man John. You won't regret it.
