If I do - I reckon it will be as a pair!!
It seems to me that (certainly for the later ones) that there is the spacer that compensates for the thickness of the ABS ring. If the spacer is not there then it will put the disc without ABS ring in the same position relative to the caliper.
I think, from memory, that there is a similar arrangement at the front i.e. there are spacers between the disc and the wheel on the non ABS-ring side.
Have spoken with Darren at Motorworks this morning and he confirms that I need a Spacer to fit 5.5" wheel as suspected. Also, as per your last post, your quite correct about the spacer (or ABS ring) for fitting an ABS 5" wheel to a non ABS bike, although it appears that BMW don't do spacers, so I will need about 15 x M8 Washers!
My rear Dymag came with a 5mm spacer to compensate for the lack of ABS if that's any help. They may be able to supply just the spacer ? Let me know if you want the contact details.

It's not how fast you ride, it's how you ride fast.
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear
bright until you hear them speak.
Early S models (with the Brembo calipers ?) came with a cast abs ring at 5mm, later ones with pressed ring at about 1.5mm.
Don't know how helpful Dymag will be but here's the number; 01249 655481

My bike is fitted with the cast Alloy ABS ring, which is about 5mm thick. I think later bikes were fitted with a pressed steel affair which is a lot thinner, probably about 1.5mm, so both both yourself and Sanbar are correct
Anyway, will give Dymag a call, thanks for the pointer.
